5S , Visual Management Training and Workshop   

The concept of eliminating waste by improving work environment through 5S and Visual management has been applied successfully in many companies.

Activity description

This project will be divided into several phases: 

– 5S and VM training, exercises and case study  

– 5S and VM workshop for a dedicated area.

Phase1 (1 day)

  • Management, implementation team Training on 5S: Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shituske  
  • Visual Management
  • 7 Waste (Muda)

Phase2 (2 intensive days)

Workshop Preparation: layout analysis, flow diagramPilot area selection, appoint: 5S Responsible, Champion, initial 5S audit 

  • Operators training and “ 5S Workshop“ for pilot area
  • S1 Sort – Red tagging, Unnecessary objects elimination
  • S2 Straighten – “A place for everything and everything on its place”, Visual Management
  • S3 Shine – Cleaning and inspection
  • S4 Standardize – Visual standards in place
  • S5 Sustain – Tools to sustain: 5S Board, 5S Audit
  • 5S Workshop Action Plan

Phase3 (2 days)

  • 5S program Follow-up

Who should attend?

Every member of the company should attend this workshop. The highest priority must be given to the members of the implementation team and pilot area operators.

5-10 days, according pilot project complexity, 2 trainers
