VSM Value Stream Mapping – Training & Workshop
Following the Value Stream approach, we must first understand the basic tools, identify the current state and design the future state. After a linked and balanced Value Stream in place we will focus on the individual processes improvements.
Activity description
This project will be divided into four main phases: basic tools training, data gathering, flow process analysis / design and flow process improvement.
Phase 1: Training
- Lean basic tools: 5S, Visual management,
- Just in time
- Value Stream Mapping overview
Phase 2: Data Gathering
- Value Stream Mapping, Current and Future state
- Processes, Products, Process Flow Diagram, Process Maps
- Standard Work definitions. Resource definition
Phase 3: Flow process improvement
- Resources calculation, People, Machines, Balancing
- Layout: Conceptual layout, Final layout
- Deployment plan. Review feasibility with stakeholders.
Phase 4: Flow process improvement
- Training plan
- Train all employees
- Sustainability plan.
- Final report to Leadership team
Deliverables:
- Training for all employees in the value stream and support functions
- Current and Future Value Stream Maps
- Detailed design of selected value stream
- 5S, Visual management, Standard work in the processes in the value stream
