Internal auditing should be performed in order to determine:
- degree of quality management system compliance with ISO 9001: 2015 standard and reference documents requirements
- degree of activities, processes and products compliance with the requirements of implemented quality management system
Assessing the ability of the management system to ensure compliance with regulated and contractual requirements and evaluating the effectiveness of the management system in achieving specified objectives are top management targets, along with identification of areas for potential improvement of existing quality management system
